I spent 10 years at Autodesk as a manager. I bring the same philosophy of mentorship and collaboration to my individual contributor work. As a senior member of any team, I strive for everyone to succeed.
For Autodesk's platform, I created a high-performing, diverse team of 42 designers, content designers and researchers in a 3 year period with <10% turnover during a period of >33% turnover in the tech industry. Built the team from 9 designers to 42 designers in under 3 years, while my department was headcount flat, by convincing engineering leadership of the value of design and gaining backfills when there was engineering attrition.
I went on to help a team of research intern-conversions reach their full potential. In two and a half years, the team went from frustrated and unheard, to key contributors to Autodesk's platform strategy with monthly VP-level meetings. We automated systems, made every team member indispensable to their product manager, contributed to company-wide programs and created a stable of 20% of our customers available to test and give feedback to us.
