Veranda Solar
In 2008, I won $125,000 seed money for Veranda Solar, a company built on my master's thesis project. The idea was simple - renters and early home buyers desire but can't afford solar. Our scalable inverters and human-sized panels allowed people to build their systems over time. Our patent for a scalable inverter that is more efficient under different weather conditions and times of day, went on to inspire dozens of other patents.
FILM & VFX
In 2012, I got the chance to work as the VFX supervisor for a sci-fi film that was going into post-production.
FINE ARTS
Outside of work, I've always been involved in the fine arts, creating paintings, photo paintings, dance performances, music and writing novels and screenplays.
WEB & PRINT WORK
I worked in web, print and interaction design in the early years of my career from 1996-2006.
